Our first month.

Jett's first month flew by.  Maybe it was because his first two weeks were a little rocky.  When Jett was first born he weighed 8 pounds 2 ounces and when we went in for our first check he was 7 pounds 2 ounces. He lost 10% of his body weight.  Talk about crushing a mom's spirit.  I felt so guilty and hurt.  Jett was only fussy at night his first week and was great during the day.  I didn't know he wasn't getting enough food.  It took exactly 10 days (yes 10 days) for my milk to come in and finally his weight went up.  After several visits to the doctor and several visits to lactation consultants his weight rocketed.  I still have a very hard time thinking about my baby starving.  Oh yes did I mention, he also had an eye infection that caused him to go on antibiotics.  One more thing, Jett was born with a small heart murmur.  Apparently several babies are born with these but go undetected.  Our practitioner caught it at the hospital so we were able to run tests.  It is still there but very faint. We hope that it will go away soon.  So yeah, I guess that's why my first month with this sweet angel flew by.  This has been the best maternity leave yet.  I was able to share this time with all three babies and my husband.  We were able to do so much! 

It is tradition that after our babies are born we stop by work to see those special people who love on them while in my tummy.  Here are my dear friends!!!

Jett even experienced his first 4th of July with his brother and sister.

For the first month we couldn't get used to how little he was.  Both J'Lee and Jax were almost 9 pound babies when they were born so he looked like a little old man.  Lol!  There was absolutely no fat on him. 

Jett will be known as the iGeneration baby.  I have hardly used my camera on this little stud muffin but have exploded my iPhone camera.  The other day I had over 2500 pictures.  Whoa!! You can definitely see how much the little man has changed.  Oh how I love him so much.  We have yet to know who he looks like exactly. He is so much different than our other two.  He might be a combination of my mom and dad.  I don't know!!!  Either way, we think he is the cutest kid on the block but I am a little bias.  Did I mention that on our 1 month appointment he weighed 13 pounds 2 ounces and was 23 inches long!?  I would have to say that he gains weight like his mommy!
