Where do you start from when you haven't blogged in over a month? Has it been that long? Do I pick up at Christmas or the New Year? That many holidays have gone by already? Maybe I pick up at birthdays, dad and Jamie had one this month? Maybe I just type and see what God has to say today?
The last two months have been tough emotionally and physically. This pregnancy has made me an emotional roller coaster. C'mon, I cried watching Top Chef because Charlize Theron couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the food was. Now that is crazy!! We are finally at the top of the hill this month. We spent over a week trying to get Jaxon well with an unexplained very high temperature, 101-104.7 for 6 days and a cough that would send chills through my entire body. I spent 6 days holding him on my chest as he slept because laying down was too uncomfortable for him. BUT he is finally back to normal!! Well, almost. I got a promotion at work... I am now the Assistant Director of Admissions at HSU {what does that even mean}. Jamie and I spent Christmas break with a wonderful group of girls and an awesome coaching staff. We had to up our game during this time since our first assistant was dealing with some family issues. Please keep her in your prayers. I haven't broken down that much game film in a while. Have you seen a pregnant lady demonstrate how to really block out...now that is funny. Let's just say we are glad she is back ;). Jamie turned 32 and we patiently wait for our niece, Adeligh to arrive. I spent lots of time editing pictures as well. Maybe that should be another post.
Let's talk about babies, I mean this is why I blog right? Jax is 20 months now and is learning new words everyday. He communicates well with us. However, his favorite word is NO and that is mostly said to those who try to hold him. He has a bubble and only I can enter that bubble, everyone else can watch from a distance. I slowly see him breaking away from me now that he is feeling better. He loves to jump and LOVES shoes! Jax is constantly asking "where Coco, where Jaz." These are two of our basketball girls. Here we are at Christmas time:
This is Jax and his personality. We have our hands full with this one. He can be a stinker but when he smiles. oh man, melts my heart every time!! I don't know what it is! I think it has something to do with those big eyes and dimples. He is starting to understand the concept of the baby in my tummy. He will lay on my belly and say baby! Let's just hope he understands when the baby actually gets here.
J'Lee is growing up everyday! Her maturity level has completely blown us away, especially with the pregnancy. She carries conversations with adults and she will talk your ear off. She is learning to brush her own hair and is wanting to be very independent. This makes me sad but I know this is how it should be. She says words like difficult and intriguing. I don't even say that word! :) J'Lee is definitely a performer. She will sing and dance like nobody is watching. Isn't it funny how we learn so much from these little peanuts. I should live life more like her!!! Our latest episode can be seen on facebook. J'Lee decided she would be part of the half-time entertainment at our most recent basketball game. She danced her heart away with the Spurs dance team. I had to take a deep breath with that one!
They could be twins!I see nothing but their daddy!
Since J'Lee was a baby she hated to go to bed. She knew she would be missing out on something so she would make me rock her and rock her until she fell asleep. She was one of those who you would have to slowly lay down in her bed and then sprint off so she wouldn't see you leave. She would sleep all night but the actual going to bed, not having it and that hasn't changed yet. So here she is after a long day insisting she lay with me and the baby. Two minutes later she is out cold! I love these sweet moments.
Here are our attempts and a family photo...
I will end this terribly long post with a performance by J'Lee. Some of you have probably already seen this but this will show how much she loves to sing. Yep, she knows Adele...she knows all of them. Don't judge me, I must culturally enrich my daughter's life. :)

Your kiddos are adorable! My parents always said there was such a vast difference between girls and boys and I always just assumed that maybe my brothers were just slackers so it made me look that much better - but I am beginning to agree with them! My sassy pants is in love with the Eagles (music group) - she doesn't sleep with a stuffed animal at night, nope, not my daughter - she sleeps with the little booklet from inside the Eagles CD! Yup - wakes up in the middle of the night looking for it! When is baby #3 due?
Grace-that is hilarious! My dad would love your sweet girl..the eagles, classic!! I agreed the minute he came out of my belly, I knew he was NOT like his sister! I am due June 23rd. Seems so far away but freaks me out because it is right around the corner!! EEK!!
